Over the last ten years, I have learned a lot professionally, picked up several hobbies, and made many memories with close friends, but realized that I rely on my memory and force of habit to retain that skill.

Eventually, all sharp swords get dull. I have backups of my files, but not of my thoughts. That changes today.

This series is about my motivation to start building an Obsidian vault, the principles behind my methodology, and details of how I implement my ideal, minimalist and pragmatic notetaking system. It is a good fit for you if you also were curious about trying it, but put off by all the cult-like productivity grindsets circling around PKM tools.
